A complete Iron Age copper alloy brooch of the La Tene I type dating to the 4th - 3rd century B.C. ' Wessex' Type, Hull's Type 1A. The brooch has a strongly arched faceted bow with a diamond-shaped cross section.. The top of the arch extends to form the tightly coiled spring with an axis bar and arched mock-spring. An incomplete Middle Iron Age copper alloy brooch of La Tène I and of Hull & Hawkes (1987: 95-106) type 1Ba, dating to the 4th or 3rd century BC.
The one-piece brooch is missing both its spring and its pin. The arched bow is D-shaped in section, being flat on the back and convex on the front. It has a maximum width of 5.87mm and thickness of 4.26mm. It is decorated down its length with a column of punched dots framed by a vertical line on either side. A Late Bronze Age hoard was discovered by Craig Hearne and Kieran Slade on 13th January 2020 while metal-detecting on a field under pasture in Llangeitho Community, Ceredigion. Initially, 17 artefacts were reported as part of this find with a further 9 artefacts found scattered within ploughsoil in the immediate vicinity during January and February 2020, which were also reported and added to this hoard find. A probable incomplete Late Iron Age to Early Roman cast copper-alloy vessel foot, possibly from a bucket. The object is Pelta shaped, semi-circular in plan with two shallow scoops formed inside this. Between the scoops are the remains of an iron fixing whihc is heavily corroded. The item has a slight bevel all around the edges. Each face is smooth, and the object has an even green patina.
Dimensions: 23.5mm wide and 17mm deep, 4mm thickness, it weighs 7.48g

Incomplete lipped decorated terret (rein ring) of Iron Age date c. 100 BC-100 AD, with La Tene style enamel decorations . The fragment is sub-circular in section, and would have originally been a sub-oval or D- shape, and features intergrally cast raised discoidal transverse moldings ( 2 sets of lips made up of four sub-oval projections). One end of the ring is thicker than the other ( 10.70mm diameter vs 7.74mm diameter). A lead possible spindle whorl which probably dates from the Iron Age date, about 800 BC - AD 50. If it is a spindle whorl, it is of Walton Rogers Form C1 which has no flat faces and curved sides. The central perforation is 8.4mm which is at the larger end of the range suggested by Walton Rogers for Iron Age spindle whorls (4-8mm). The height of the object is 18.9mm, the diameter 22.6mm, and the weight is 48.4g. It has a white patina. There is some damage to one end.
