Obverse: Linear head of naturalistic form left, pellet eye, pellet and crescent ear, two lines for mouth, and head terminating with a curl. An incomplete Middle Iron Age copper alloy brooch of La Tène I and of Hull & Hawkes (1987: 95-106) type 1Ba, dating to the 4th or 3rd century BC.
The one-piece brooch is missing both its spring and its pin. The arched bow is D-shaped in section, being flat on the back and convex on the front.
