Secondary, soft hammer struck flake, of unpatinated dark black/grey flint with a faint orange inclusion to one edge. Both lateral edges and the distal end have been steeply retouched to form the scraping edges, the distal end has shaped in such a way to form a slightly pointed "nose", this is undercut with tiny hinged flake scars and maybe unintentional, it just proved difficult to remove the pointed end. It is tricky to say if this is Lower Palaeolithic or later, it is in very fresh condition, there is no rolling to be seen on the edges and the high points to the flake scars, t…

Palaeolithic Bronze Age flint core, 54mm long, 40mm wide, 24mm thick and 60.3g in weight. Made on a dark caramel brown flint that has turned light cream and opaque through patination. The original colour of the flint is identifiable due to a small area of post-depositional damage. The core has been worked all over and is close to exhaustion. One face is still visible as a striking platform from which a series of parallel flakes were removed. The other faces display passive scars that were struck both unidirectionally and bidirectionally.

The two edges aligned perpedicular to the striking platform edges. The scraping edges are irregular and formed by short scaled semi-abrupt retouch, the flint itslef is light grey with some offwhite mottling and orangey brown iron stianing. Measurements: 40.75mm long, 36.48mm wide, 13.32mm thick and 19.92g in weight.

Lithic point dating from the Palaeolithic to the Bronze Age. Its possible age covers a potentially vast span of time, from c. 100,000 years ago to c. 800 BC. The point is made on a triangular shaped flake, with evidence of invasive knapping on both faces and along the edges. There is a prominent bulb of percussion on the ventral face, which is suggestive of hard hammer knapping technique. The dorsal face features invasive large flake removals across the surface of the flake, with small 'retouch' along the right edge, and blunted retouch along the left edge. The flint is dark …

Palaeolithic (Upper) to Bronze age notch, 31mm long, 11mm wide, 4mm thick and 2.7g in weight. Made on flint that has turned an opaque light grey. Hard hammer struck flake with large butt that has been worked on the ventral face of the right lateral edge to create a notch. Dorsal face possesses some cortex and evidence for two orthogonal removals are visible on the left lateral edge.

Palaeolithic (Middle) to Bronze Age (Later) notch, 34mm long, 16mm wide, 5mm thick and 3.4g in weight. This notch has been made on a blade that possesses a few Levallois characteristics. The notch itself is positioned along the left lateral edge on the ventral face. The dorsal face possesses a central parallel ridge that looks to have been created on the left by centripetal flaking and on the right by the removal of a previous blade, suggesting a recurrent technique. The flint is opaque and light grey in patination.

Palaeolithic (Middle) to Bronze Age (Later) flake, 44mm long, 36mm wide, 9mm thick and 16.4g in weight. The piece is now opaque light grey in colour however small areas indicate that the flint was originally a light caramel brown. This is a hard hammer struck slab-like flake that possesses a number of unidirectional flake scars on the dorsal face. The butt is facetted and the piece stilln retains a small amount of cortex.

Post-depositional damage has left an area of light grey opaque patination also. Hard hammer struck flake with large butt and pronounced bulb. The dorsal ridges suggest a number of unidirectional removals and some orthogonal working. A central ridge has created a trianglur cross-section. The flake is also curved, due to a slight plunged and. .

A lithic tool uncertain date, possibly heat affected and also utilised as a hammer stone. Likely upper Paleolithic (c.40000-11000) or Neolithic-Early Bronze age date (c. 4000 BC - 1000 BC). Description: The tool is roughly ovoid with a heavy cortex area in the centre of one side. The base has had flaking away from the centre leaving an apex point at the centre and the entire flint triangle in cross-section. The bifacial working can be described as invasive to covering, scaled and semi-abrupt. Parts of the flint have been heat affected and then battered likely indicating the object'…

Palaeolithic (Middle) to Bronze Age (Late) flake, 19mm long, 16mm wide, 5mm thick and 2.2g in weight. Small flake with no pronounced bulb of percussion and small striking platform, which could have been struck with a soft hammer, and therefore could be a small thinning flake. The flint is opaque and the patination has coloured the flint to a orangey brown. The dorsal face displays two unidirectional flake scars that are also small. The the flake may even have been struck from a small pebble or a very exhausted core.
