An incomplete Beaker Period of the Late (final) Neolithic to Middle Bronze Age barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, dating to c. 2400-1100 BC. The arrowhead is sub-triangular in plan, formed from a tertiary flake of pale brown flint. It is bifacially worked with covering, scaled, low angle retouch, over the whole of the dorsal surface. Two notches chipped into the base separate the barbs and tang, although one of the barbs is missing due to an old break. The implement is a thumbnail scraper, designed to be held between the thumb and forefinger, formed from a secondary flake which is D-shaped in plan and triangular in section. An incomplete Neolithic greenstone axehead, dating to c. 4000-2350 BC. It is a smooth, possibly sarsen stone, reddish in colour, coarse-grained with crystal inclusions, drop shape, possibly naturally formed in that shape, as sarsen sub sphericals are not uncommon. It is oval in section and flares outwards from the butt end to the cutting edge which is vertical with slightly rounded corners. A possible Late Neolithic or Early Bronze Age flint knife dating to c 3300-1000 BC. It tapers towards a blunt terminus at the proximal end. The bulb of percussion and ripples are evident on the ventral surface. A flake scar ridge appears on the dorsal surface and there is evidence of retouch on all edges. The item has broken away from a larger flake at an early date. It was reported by the finder as found one to two feet below the surface of a garden so may have been in original context. A piece of flint debitage of probable Neolithic-Bronze Age date, circa 4000 - 801 BC. It is a tertiary flake and retains none of the original cortex. The dorsal face exhibits 6 negative flake scars from previous flake removal, one of which terminates in a hinge fracture. The proximal end has a large striking platform, and a bulb of percussion is present on the ventral face, as well as two parallel flake scars from flake removal. The flint is grey-brown in colour with white inclusions. The debitage measures 43.91mm in length, 26.54mm in width, 9.88mm in thickness and weighs 14.44g.
