The reverse is much flatter however not completely smooth. Most of the object ha a brown patina with black inclusions. It is likely that the object is casting waste. A complete copper alloy bead of unknown period. The bead is sub-spherical or biconvex, measuring 13.6mm in diameter, 10.1mm thick (through the hole) and weighs 7.7g.  The hole is 2.8mm in diameter.  It has a patchy, rough brown - green surface, about half of which is of green corrosion products.  Much of the original surface is missing and so it is impossible to determine visually whether the bead surface carried any decoration.  A similar, but smaller, bead appears at record SWYOR-AA0195.  KENT-EC7838 is also similar.

Head and neck of an animal figurine, apparently a dog, of unknown date. It is made of lead and may be a model for a finished version in a more durable material. It begins with a worn transverse break across the neck, which is oval (near circular) in cross-section. It soon expands in thickness and nearly twice as much in width to form the head. The edges of the fragment are uneven. The reverse is undecorated and slightly uneven. The surface is is light to mid grey colour which is slightly shiny. It measures 39.96mm long, 32.28mm wide, 5.14mm thick and weighs 29.69g. The fragment may be a test-piece for decoration as it does not appear to have a particular function, and is not good enough quality to be a decorative object.
