A lead weight of uncertain date. The find is byconical in form with a large circular perforation. A small knop projects out from the weight, possibly excess lead from the casting process. There are some traces of decoration on both faces. Spindle whorl or weights are difficult to date, the find could date from the Roman to Post Medieval period. If the small knop is casting waste, it is likely the whorl would have been discarded.
