A lead alloy weight or mis-cast whorl of unknown date. The object is conical in form with an irregular hole that has a diameter of 8.5mm. The surface is worn and distorted with heavy grooves in one area and deep pits in one area around the top, adjacent to the hole. A decorated lead alloy spindle whorl. It is discoidal and is decorated on each side with eight crudely incised radial grooves which cut into the edge of the whorl but do not quite reach the central perforation.
