Made on very light bluish-grey patinated flint, broken and retouched in a later period from original flake production (which could, based on the patination, possibly be Mesolithic). Pronounced bulb. Left side of flake is missing. Proximal end worked (abrupt, parallel, crossed), some edge damage on the right. Dorsal scars are unidirectional but very slight. Possibly an axe-thinning flake.

Secondary flake struck off a prepared platform with bulb of percussion, percussion waves and multiple arises from previous removals. There is a tiny amount of cortex remaining at the distal end and various baruyral flaws in the flint. There is evidence of starch fracturing and accidental or natural breaks at the proximal end of the left edge of the dorsal face. There is a small area of short semi-abrupt parallel retouch at the proximal end of the right edge on the dorsal face and possible usewear chipping down the rest of this edge. 34.8mm long, 19.3mm wide, 4.8mm thick and 3.27 grams…
