A triangular flint blade of probable Neolithic to Bronze Age date, 43.7mm in length and struck from a patinated grey flint with a small patch of cortex on the distal end. The right side of the long edge towards the distal point has been worked with short abrupt retouch suggesting possible use as a piercer and there is a second patch of retouch around a notch on the left side long edge, suggesting that the tool may have been multi functional. This retouch has clearly broken through the blue-grey patination suggesting later prehistoric re-use of a much earlier struck blade, pos…

A flint tool, taking the form of a serrated blade, probably dating from the Late Mesolithic to the Neolithic period, c. 7000-2351 BC. The blade is made from a tertiary flake of mid grey flint with a band of darker grey cutting diagonally through it. It is an elongated leaf shape in plan, and is slightly concave on one side and convex on the other. The dorsal face has a ridge running lengthwise slightly off centre. The flake is 36.16mm long, 16.58mm wide, and 0.75mm thick. It weighs 3.86 grams.

It has been produced from a secondary flake of dark grey flint with white patches and flecks as well as some translucent brown areas, on the dorsal face there are also some small areas of cortex with small iron deposits visible. The ventral face has invasive, scaled, semi-abrupt retouch on its surface and a possible striking platform at the proximal end. The dorsal face …

Flint lithic implement on a secondary flake. This is oval in plan with a negative bulb on the dorsal and a large bulb of percussion on the ventral. The flint has semi-abrupt edges with flaking scars on one side, these do not look to be retouch, but more likely flake removal from the core/tool manufacture and this is a discarded element of that process. Brown patina with lighter speckles, 15% cortex on one side.

A complete flnt lithic implement of probable Melithic to Neolithic date (c. 9000 BC - 2100 BC). The object is sub-rectangular in plan and slightly curved. The cross-section is D-shaped with a distinct point off-centre on the dorsal face, suggesting this object was a core with up to four flake removals surrounding. The left and right edges show potential abrupt retouch (as noted by the finder) suggesting subsequent use as a scraper. The object was struck from a secondary flint flake and the object is opaque grey with white patination. Cortex has been noted by the finder on the…

A tertiary struck flint flake, 50.9mm in length and possibly of Mesolithic date, struck from a brown coloured flint which has been heavily recorticated with a white patina from prolonged deposition in calcareous sediments. A secondary re-use in a much later period of prehistory (possibly the Bronze Age) is demonstrated by an area of short parallel semi-abrupt retouch along one edge, which has broken through the patination.
