A fragment from a cast copper alloy (latten) Post Medieval seal top spoon dating to the period c.AD 1600-1700.
The Knop is of scrolled baulster seal type, dating to the 17th century.
The fragment comprises the spoon knop. The terminus is a flat oval disc which tapers down to a wide collar after which it is broadly circular in cross section for a short distance. The spoon handle then widens quickly, becoming sub-square in cross section, at this point there is decoration consisting of a small circular or c shaped groove sat below a down turned arch. A complete post medieval to modern copper alloy ring, possibly part of a furniture fitting (c. AD 1700 - 1900). The object is a thin ring of metal, similar in shape to a finger ring. The outer surface has the letters K A [T] E cast into the surface while the inside of the band is plain, with no decorations and no makers' marks. Copper alloy badge. Cast copper alloy badge retaining an enamelled front bearing a bright yellow cinquefoil flower with the monogram letters PL set centrally. A complete cast. pressed modern copper alloy shoe or clog clasp dating to c.1700-1900.
The clasp is broadly sub-rectangular in plan with one straight end albeit with long edges that are wavey. One end has a projecting narrow tab which has a wide D-shaped projection at its end. The opposite end has a similar rectangular tab. Both fold downwards. The plate is decorated with two curved lines that form a 'V' shape at either end. The clasp is has a dark green patina.

A conical lead weight of uncertain date, possibly a steelyard weight although if so it would be unusually short and wide. None of the surfaces show any obvious decoration. However, at the approximate centre of the flat surface are the remains of an iron attachment or suspension with the appearance of a very worn and corroded break. This artefact weighs 36.55g is conical in shape with a diameter of 27.4mm and depth of 14.94mm.

An incomplete cast and engraved 18th century seal matrix
Description: The matrix has a thin oval die face. The reverse of the die has small stepped back formed by two additional ovals overlain on the reverse. The handle is soldered to the reverse and is incomplete having been damaged in the recent past. The die face has a three masted ship in full sail right with high aft and fore pennants all set within a circle.

Complete, possibly copper alloy, lock of uncertain date, but probably relatively modern.
The object forms a rough 'T' shape, with three arms extending from a central body. The main body of the lock is oval, and slightly impressed at the top, similar to a heart shape, extending downwards into a curved neck which terminates in a triangle, similar to an arrow.

A lead-alloy cloth or bag seal of Modern date c.1875-1925 AD. Cast disc with a slot in one edge and a bifurcated slot in the opposite edge, to function as a drawstring bag closure. There is a light cream patina. A stamped legend on one side appears to read: L C I D O, though this is abraded and possibly an incomplete reading. This lies circumferentially within a finely pelleted border which also appears on the blank reverse.
The diameter is 21.07mm at its widest and it is 3.68mm thick. It weighs 8.2g.

A complete slightly worn cast lead Modern MiniƩ ball type bullet dating 1826-1900.
Description: Cylindrical with a blunt domed point and a hollow base. The body has 3 circumferential grooves (cannelui) towards the base. The shoulders to the point are gently angled. There are striations from tip to base and the entire object is patinated of white to light grey color. This is typical of mediumly patinated lead.

A post medieval silver thimble probably dating to the late 18th century. The thimble has a conical head with flat sides, which are now slighly bent out of shape. The sides of the thimble are covered with machine-made indentations, arranged in rows up to the crown. The crown is also decorated with machine made indentations forming a series of circles radiating outwards meeting the sides.
Though the object is made of silver it contains no identifiying marks diagnostic of a manufacture date older than the 18th century, and the machine-made indentations indicate a late date for this. …

A modern lead bullet. weight - 29.09g; Length - 24.34mm; Diameter - 14.95mm (0.588 inches). The bullet has 3 circumferential grooves, with rouletting and a hollowed base of depth c.3.9 mm. The diameter suggets this may be for the Martini Henry rifle, which equipped the British Army in the later 19th century, and at all events are for a rifle of military specification.
