A complete copper alloy dress hook The artefact body is broadly circular, with openwork moulding in the form of four circles either side of the central motif. In the base is a V shaped frame and sitting in this is a relief moulded pineapple or pine cone. The broader end of a square section bar, expanded at its proximal end where it is rounded, drilled, slotted and attached to the inserted stub of a narrower bar and secured by a ferrous metal [probably steel] pin. If not part of a pair of dividers, then perhaps a part from some related item of drawing or surveying equipment. It is unclear when Roxby cum Risby parish was enclosed, though nearly half of Manley Wapentake had been enclosed by 1600; such an episode could provide a context for such a loss. A complete copper alloy medieval or post-medieval casket key. The shank is oval in cross-section. The bit is simple in form with a small rectangular notch removed from the centre of each longer side. The bow is circular and flattened with a circular hole through the centre.  Margeson (1993, 160-2, figs.118-120) illustrates a number of small, simple casket keys from Norwich, found in contexts dating from the 12th to 17th century. An incomplete Medieval to Post Meideval copper-alloy signet ring dating c.1400-1600.  It has a flat, oval bezel with projecting rounded side knops. An incomplete copper alloy artefact, possibly from a door or window latch dating to circa AD 1600-1800.  It has a zoomorphic decoration in shape of a bird with a long curved beak. The reverse is flat and undecorated. It measures 53.5mm long at its longest point 4mm thick 14mm across at widest point. A parallel can be found on the database; DEV-12DEE1 discovered in Somerset. Another similar example has been published by Read (2021, 294-295) no. 1666.

An iron axehead. It is sub rectangular in shape but the bottom of the axe has a curve downwards, and the blade has a shallow curve too. The socket is of a slim triangular shape. Although there are no direct parallels on the database this type of axe had a long history of use from the medieval period onwards. The obverse is a convex dome, and there is a central circle of pitting with a diameter measuring 14.5mm. The reverse is concave and has the same pitting in the centre. It is possible that this was once a motif that has since been worn. Similar examples can be found in Forsyth & Egan, Toys, Trifles and Trinkets (2005, 267;293).
