An incomplete copper-alloy Brooch of Roman date (AD 43-65). The object is a Colchester derivative two-piece brooch. The retained portion of the object consists of a complete bow and catchplate and the majority of the left wing, and partial right wing, which are hollow and C-shaped in section. An incomplete copper alloy Nail Cleaner of Roman date (AD 43-150). The object is composed of a partially retained, suspension loop which would have been circular in form but it is now composed of two spurs, set at 90 degrees to the body of the object. The suspension loop then joins the leaf-shaped body of the nail cleaner via a sub-rectangular shaft, which ends in a narrow bifurcate terminal with the two ends flaring slightly outwards.
