A copper alloy fragment from a late Roman multiple motif armlet, 33.48mm in length. The fragment is flat in cross section, slightly curved in side profile and decorated on one side with three panels divided by transverse ridges, each containing a different arrangement of dot-in-annulet motifs of various sizes. Circa 3rd-4th century AD.

An incomplete copper alloy Bracelet or Armlet of late Roman date (AD 300-410). The object is sub-ovate in cross-section and curved into a crescent. The main body of the bracelets broad within the central portion and tapers and flattens toward the ends of the retained portion. The outer face of the object is curved, whilst the inner surface is flat. There are no decorative features apparent on the object.

A fragment of a copper-alloy Bracelet of Roman date (AD 43-410). The fragment is one terminal of what would have been penannular in form. The fragment is sub-rectangular in plan, with one end, the other end terminates in an old, abraded transverse break. In section the object is broadly flat save for the bulbous terminal which is D-shaped. The bulbous terminal is moulded forming a simplistic snakes head. The rectangular body has two outer ridges forming a border. The reverse is undecorated.

Description: The bracelet remains as a section with transverse breaks at each end. The cross-section is rectangular. The fragment is decorated with a pair of oblique grooves flanking a punched ring-and-dot. and pair of transverse grooves then divide this from a fiurther ring and dot. A fragment of a copper alloy Roman strip bracelet/armlet terminal of multiple motif type dating to the Roman period, c. 250-410 AD. The fragment is flattened rectangular in cross-section, with a slight curve. The upper surface of the bracelet is decorated with a stamped ring-dot motif, with a double row of dots and triangular grooves, and at the terminal end transverse line of three small incised ring and dots.
Bracelets of this style were in use from the later 3rd to 4th century AD (Crummy 1983, 37).

A fragment of Roman cast copper-alloy bracelet dating to the first century AD. The fragment is broadly rectangular in shape and cross-section with a transverse break at each end and straight sides. The surface is decorated with three lines of cable interspersed with grooves and ridges. The reverse is flat with two slightly raised longitudinal ridges. The patina is light green in colour.
The fragment measures 15.5mm in length, 14.4mm in width, 0.8mm in thickness and weighs 0.89 grams.

Slightly tapering, gently curved and D-shaped in cross section with regularly spaced raised transverse ridges along whole length giving a segmented design. The back is plain. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Roman bracelet dating c. AD 250-410.
The bracelet consists of one terminal and part of the body bent in two places. The strip is broadly rectangular and D-shape in cross-section. From the squared terminal the side of the strip bends to a 90 degree angle before gradually tapering to an old worn transverse break. The strip is possibly decorated with inscised transverse grooves of varying width and depth although the surface corrosion does not allow for definite identification. Copper alloy bracelet, as kindly suggested by the finder. A broad rectangular strip of copper alloy with straight ends, curled into a penannular form and subsequently further wound into a loose coil. The finder kindly notes a single ring and dot of diameter 4mm towards either end; these marks are very worn and their presence may imply the loss of others to heavy wear. The strip is incomplete with a worn break at both ends; one end is slightly bent. It appears to have been cut from metal sheet. The bracelet comprises a single rectangular strip of 4.5mm wide, 2mm thick D-sectioned copper alloy bent into a flattened penannular hoop. The fragment consists of a flat, parallel sided strip of copper alloy with a flattened oval section near one end. Both ends terminate in old breaks. One edge of the bracelet is decorated with a series of punched dots, with the other edge undecorated. There is a ring-and-dot punch decoration at either end of the object. Each ring also consists of tiny dots which are smaller versions of the design on the edge.
