An incomplete cast copper alloy object of uncertain identification. Probably part of a scissor handle dating to the Medieval period, circa AD1400-1600. It is possibly the head and bow of a Roman brooch, circa AD50-200. There is a ridge running down the centre of the bow, otherwise the surface is undecorated and abraded. Length: 32.1mm. Width: 22.54mm. Thickness: 4.75mm. Weight: 2.3g.
