A fragment of a Roman copper alloy penannular neck ring, bracelet or armlet, dating to cAD250 - 410. It is a curved rod, circular in section, expanding a little to a circular buffer terminal. The other end appears to show an early break, so original length is undetermined. There is a groove immediately beneath the flat terminal, giving a cap-like appearance.
Dimensions: 108.1mm in length; hoop varies from 3.6mm to 6.6mm in diameter; 15.70g in weight

Fragment of a Roman copper alloy neck ring: a flat, plain, rectangular-sectioned band curving out from a hooked terminal and gently expanding to a break. Extant length 75mm, width 2.7-3.5mm, thickness 1.5mm. Mid 1st - 4th century.

Terminal fragment of a probably Roman copper alloy penannular necklet which widens from a recent break. The front face is decorated with four transverse grooves. Cf. an example from West Acre (NMS-A10245). Another fragment from Barton Bendish is rather thicker and more elaborate (NMS-1C7B25). Extant length 25mm. Width 3.7 - 8.7mm. Thickness 1.3mm. Mid 1st - 4th century.

Fragment of a Roman copper alloy possible neck ring, a curving strap decorated throughout the length of both faces with a row of closely spaced, punched ring-and-dots. One end is broken while on the other there is a pierced terminal set a right angles and decorated on the front with two ring-and-dots. The aperture, probably an eye to accommodate a hook, is rectangular, 5 x 3mm. The inner face is a continuous curve from strip onto the terminal. Less than one quarter survives. Approximate diameter 110mm. Width 6.5mm. Thickness 0.7mm at the break, 2mm before the loop. 3rd - 4th century.

Fragment of a probably Roman copper alloy penannular neck ring: a flat rectangular sectioned bar curving and widening from a (recent) break to a simple straight terminal. After a short plain length from the break engraved edge-to-edge decoration consists of a saltire flanked by straight lines, then a series of zig-zags and finally four straight lines before the terminal. That one face was left undecorated suggests that it was not to be seen, and that the object lay flat with the ornamented face outwards. Part of a Romano-British possible penannular neck ring, rectangular section, narrow end broken (2 x 1.5mm), other end a straight terminal (4.5 x 3mm). Decoration occurs towards the terminal on one broad face and on the two narrow faces, which forms the inner and outer edges of the curve. Starting from the terminal decoration consists of: five moulded beads and reels on the faces, engraved herringbone on the front broad and oblique lines on the outer narrow face, pair of transverse lines on front and outer face, ring and dot on front.
