A complete glass melon bead of uncertain date. The bead is sub-pentagonal in plan with a central circular perforation. Five longitudinal grooves in the side give the bead the appearance of a five-petaled flower. The grooves are regular. The glass is blue in colour. The bead is 9.0mm in diameter, 5.0mm thick and weighs 0.4g. The perforation is 2.8mm in diameter. Glass beads are very difficult to date with any certainty. A fragment of clear, uncoloured glass dating from either the Roman period or Post-medieval. The fragment is very roughly triangular in shape measuring 41.5mm by 39.4mm by 29.7mm. It is of uneven thickness to a maximum of 2.3mm. A fragment of glass probably from a bowl or similar vessel of probable Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The fragment is a a rim sherd formed from very dark blue translucent glass with no visible striations or bubbles. The rim is beaded and though the fragment is too small to be confident when projecting a rim diameter, it could be about 120mm. The wall of the vessel also slopes outwards at the top. The fragment is 31.1mm long, 38.9mm wide and 4.4mm thick. 9.2g.

An assemblage of 13 glass bottle fragments of probable Roman date, AD 43 - 410. There are 8 rims, four neck gragments and one base. 1. The whole of the rim and neck in light blue coloured glass. Rim has an external diameter of 26.1mm and internal opening of 12.1mm. The rim is almost flat across the mouth and is square. The neck is 20.5mm diameter at the top, and 22.8mm at the start of the shoulder. A glass bottle fragment of probable Roman date, AD 43 - 410. The fragment is the complete rim and incomplete neck in very light pink glass. The rim has an external diameter of 25.3mm and is sub-circular, and the internal opening diameter is 12.8mm. The top of the rim is flat and the sides are bevelled. The neck is 21.8mm diameter at the top, and is incomplete. There are occasional bubbles in the glass, and no evidence of mould lines. 26.1mm tall and 10.8g.

A base fragment from a pale blue/gree cylindrical glass cup of Isings (1957), Form 85, probably dating to the period AD 150 to AD 250. Slightly concave base, decorated with an applied central trailed coil. The central coil has a diameter of 7.8mm Although these cups appear to date to the same period as the colourless examples, they are very much less common (Price and Cottam 1998, 99-101, fig. 37).
