Half of a cast copper alloy token or coin. The item is a disk with a prominent raised design of a bust on one side. The break is old and patinated. The remaining half appears to have a blank reverse and there is no inscription on the obverse. While the style of the bust, from what can be seen, appears classical without the upper half of the head it is hard to be sure and classical style busts were also popular in the 17th to 19th centurys. A Roman hooked harness mount. The mount has a circular domed body, concave on the back, with a pair of rounded side projections and a large central knop. A small hook with a rounded end emerges from the lower side of the dome. From the other side emerges a pelta-shaped plate with an inscribed branching or herring-bone pattern. An integral rivet projects from the back of the plate.

A Roman copper-alloy pin with a grooved sub-spherical head perhaps dating from the early imperial period. The head is made of a broadly spherical knob with a concave base below featuring four steps (L.: 9.8mm, W.: 8.75mm, Th.: 8.9mm). The upper part of the head is decorated with grooving: a central cross with two or three diagonal grooves in each quarter. Incomplete cast copper alloy mount of Roman to Early Medieval date. There are worn breaks around the edges, with only part of an original edge surviving, suggesting that the mount may have been circular. There are two rivet holes, and a third with part of a copper alloy rivet in situ. Both the upper and lower surface has traces of a white metal coating. It is 20.81mm long, 15.15mm wide, 0.99mm thick and weighs 1.13 grams.

CORONER'S REPORT A fragment of a silver snake-finger ring. Description of Find The fragment is a stylised snake head terminal with an incomplete neck that is broken just after it curves at 90 degrees to join the hoop. The snake head is fairly worn, broad, oval in plan and D-shaped in cross-section. The perimeter of the head is decorated with a series of moulded ribs and the eyes are represented by two oval mouldings. There is a shallow groove down the centre of the head. The stem is oval in cross section with a width of 1mm.

A copper alloy Roman cosmetic mortar implement. Its shape resembles a thin concaved leaf, narrowing at the outer end. Its handle folds back underneath itself, where it spirals in. It has an even green patina and measures 62.73mm x 21.56mm x 8.99, weighing 11.74g. It probably dates to the 1st or 2nd century AD. Similar examples can be found on the database (NMGW-9759E6, BUC-E0C3B8).
