The coin looks more like a worn As or Dupondius, but matches the size of a nummus better. The coin is 20.6mm in diameter and 2.1mm thick. It weighs 3.8gm.

An incomplete fragment of a much abraded, possibly broken and melted copper alloy coin of possible Roman date. The coin is almost completely indecipherable - being oval in plan and section. On one face is all that remains of a face looking right, whilst the reverse is lost completely. The metal is most like a base metal coin from the period 50-250 AD. The fragment measures 17.1mm length, 15.2mm width, is 6.5mm thick and 5.85 grams
