A very large worked flint core, correspondence with the British Museum has revealed that it is most likely to be Neolithic or earlier in date. Roger Jacobi of the British Museum has examined images and says, “I have to say that I am unable to provide you with an answer as to what age this core might be. It is not a long blade core in the sense of long blade industries found in Southern and eastern England at about the time of the Pleistocene/ Holocene transition.
