A D-shaped chopper likely of lower Palaeolithic date c.420,000BC - c. 374,000BC.
Description: The denticulate is formed from a roughly D-shaped secondary flint flake. With uneven semi-abrupt retouch along the rounded edge, angled from the dorsal face. Some of the retouch forms two concave dips in the edge which appear to have been intentional, this creates a s-shaped choping edge. The blub of percussion is on the ventral face is very subtle and some attempts appears to have been made to remove much of it. The flat edge is mostly still covered in cortex, with no attempt made to remo…

A flint backed blade likely of lower Palaeolithic date c.420,000BC - c. 374,000BC.
Description: The blade is formed from a roughly D-shaped secondary flint flake. With mixed low angle-scaled retouch along the top and right hand edges of the dorsal face. Very little other flaking has occured on that facing. Signicant crushing and blunting has occured ont he straightish edge (left edge of the dorsal face) clearly with the intent to blunt the edge. The blub of percussion is on the ventral face is fairly subtle although clearly visible and much of the other flaking which was involved i…

Description: The blade survives from the butt end of the blade too roughly half way along the blade's length. The left edge of the dorsal face has been heavily battered in antiquty and it is uncertain if this was part of an attempt to blunt the edge or accidental, althoguh a seciton has a clear segment of of short scaled abrupt edge. The right edge has been reworked after the blade snapped so its orignal working edge is uncertain what is visible is short, scaled semi-abrupt …

A highly patinated and incomplete backed blade of likely Upper Paleolithic (40000BC - 9000BC) or Neolithic date (4000Bc-2200BC)
Description: The blade survives from the butt end of the blade too roughly half way along the blade's length. The left edge of the dorsal face has been heavily battered in antiquty and it is uncertain if this was part of an attempt to blunt the edge or accidental. The right edge is serrated with short, scalled semi-abrupt retouch. The conchoidal fracturing (ripples) and the bulb of percussion is very clear and thus the use of a hard hammer in its' producti…
