A Bronze Age ‘Y-shaped’ worked flint. It has been formed from a light grey flint, with creamy-white flaws within the flake matrix. The bulb of percussion and striking platform have both been removed. The upper end of the ventral surface has been heavily retouched, forming the characteristic ‘Y-shaped’ cutting edge. The retouch is steep.

A complete flint side and end scraper of Bronze Age date (2350-801BC). The implement is sub-oval in plan and is knapped from a secondary flake with previous removal scars on the dorsal surface and remaining cortex near the left medial edge. There is a pronounced bulb of percussion and erailleur scar indicative of the hard hammer technique. Retouch is relatively crude and uneven which identifies this as a later prehistoric tool (see Butler 2005 p. 166). Short, scaled semi-abrupt retouch extends continuously along the left edge and the distal end.
The flint is a light grey with lar…

A knapped lithic implement of early Bronze Age date. The implement is roughly D-shaped in plan with a plano-convex section. Cortex remains on the dorsal surface covering the whole area and is smooth in appearance and texture. The ventral surface is flat with evidence of knapping around the curved edge. A semi-circular notch is present centrally on the straight edge which has steep retouch and tapers from ventral to dorsal surface forming a sharp edge.
The flint is a mid blackish-grey with some lighter inclusions. The implement is 51.3mm long, 41mm wide, 10.9mm thick and weighs 26.9g.

A knapped lithic implement of early Bronze Age date. The implement is roughly triangular in plan with a trapezoidal section. A knapped lithic implement of early Bronze Age date. The implement is roughly D-shaped in plan with a rectangular protrusion and a plano-convex section. Cortex remains covering roughly 90% of the entire object and is smooth texture and light brownish-white in colour. Evidence of knapping is only present in one area of the implement where a semi-circular notch has been created with steep sides which taper to form a sharp edge. The limited knapping suggests this piece was a naturally occurring flint with the notch removed for a function.

A knapped lithic implement of early Bronze Age date. The implement is roughly figure of eight-shaped in plan with an irregular plano-convex section. Evidence of knapping is only present in one area of the implement where a semi-circular notch has been created with steep sides which taper to form a sharp edge. The limited knapping suggests this piece was a naturally occurring flint with the notch removed for a function.
The flint is a mid whitish-brown colour with no evidence of cortex re-growth. The implement is 66.2mm long, 37.6mm wide, 15.5mm thick and weighs 36.1g.

A fragment of an Early Bronze Age flint implement, possibly an arrowhead or blade with rippled flaking on both faces. It measures 24.12x19.61x3.36mm and weighs 1.7g.
The flint is transluscent and a pale brown/ grey in colour. It has been snapped at both ends.
One face has 75% diagonally stacked ripple flake scars against one long edge, with additional pressure flaking along both original long edges. The wider snapped end has a little pressure flaking along it.
The other face has 25% stacked horizontal ripple flake scars along the same edge as above. There is additional pressure …

Lithic implement (probably) and probably Bronze Age in date. It measures 48x21.3x9.5mm and weighs 11.01g.
Both right and left dorsal edges have rough working along them, with a crude notch at the right side of the dorsal distal end.
The flint has almost 100% heavy patination.

Prehistoric lithic implement, probably Bronze Age.
It is c.99mm long and at its widest c.66mm, with two distinct faces, all surrounding edges having been worked. In shape it has a rounded wide end, which expands outwards, then narrows again, eventually to a rough point. On one side line of the edge is uninterrupted. On the other it curves inwards suddenly c.30mm from the point, to meet the point. This curved edge has steep (c.7mm high) retouch.
The implement is 19mm thick, thinning to the pointed edge where it is c.10mm thick.
The curved retouched edge suggests it might be a knife.

A possible late Bronze Age/Iron Age flint hammerstone dating to c 1000-1BC. The hammerstone comprises a flint nodule which has the cotex retained at the bottom as the hammer area. The sides have flaked to create a comfortable position to hold the stone. The top has been roughly shaped and may also have been used for hammering.

An invasively worked tertiary flint flake. The flake is semi-circular but the straight edge is a break which occurred after the working but is not recent. The flake is 21.2mm long, 15.8mm wide and 2.7mm thick. It is bi-facially worked with scalar flaking but there is very little, if any, edge retouch. It may be a pre-form for a tool which was never completed. There is very little dating evidence at this flake could date from anytime between the late Mesolithic and the Bronze Age. However, it is slightly more likely to be from the Early Bronze Age. There is slight patination on all fac…

A mid to late Bronze Age flint tool. It is formed on a large flake of mottled grey flint. There is crude and irregular retouch along the distal end to form a cutting tool, and removals from the right distal side which could be used as a scraping edge. The workmanship is poor which suggests a late date.
