An incomplete copper alloy unlooped palstave of Middle Bronze Age date (c. 1500-1300BC).Probably an early palstave of Group I - shield pattern type. The blade of the palstave is triangular shaped in plan with expanding sides. The cutting edge measures 37.4 mm in width and is 4.4 mm thick. The cutting edge is blunt. The septum (the area between the flange facets and the stop ridge) gradually tapers towards the butt and is a broad U shape, measuring 57.4 mm in length. A fragment from a Middle to Late Bronze Age spearhead. Only part of the blade and midrib survive. The fragment is broadly rectangular in plan having three regular linear breaks running at right angles to the surviving blade edge. This edge is rounded and shows no signs of damage. After c.11.3mm the plate splits to from what would have been a hollow probably circular/oval midrib. One of these plates has been slightly squashed against the other. A later prehistoric end scraper struck from a secondary nodule fragment of dark grey flint with a light brown cortex retained over 60% of the dorsal surface. The flake has been removed by hard hammering and there is no evidence of a prepared striking platform. The distal end has long semi abrupt parallel retouch defining a working edge which has been largely obscured by battering damage, some of this is clearly post depositional as it has broken the patina.

A fragment of casting waste. The fragment is a long thin narrow bar but with a slightly irregular form and section being globular at points and sub-rectangular at others. It has a medium green patina. The object is 93.2mm long, c.10mm wide, 4.6mm thick and weighs 13.66 grams. The object's irregular form suggests this object may have been the result of the casting process but is not a component part of an object.

An incomplete copper-alloy flat axehead of early Bronze Age date, c.2150 - 1500 BC. The axehead is sub-trapezoidal with an ovate section. It expands to a flared cutting edge at one end and terminates in a worn break at the opposite end. The cutting edge is worn. The axehead is extremely worn and undecorated. No signs of ridges or flanges are present indicating that this is an early flat axe. The metal has a delaminated mid-brown/green patina. The axehead is 43.7mm long, 29.6mm wide, 12.1mm thick and weighs 53.3g.

A secondary flake of dark grey brown flint which appears to have been removed by hard hammer from a nodule and re-used as a tool, probably in the later prehistoric period. The distal end is triangular with steep sides defined by long and short semi-abrupt retouch into a working point. The right side long edge has scaled low angle retouch on the ventral face to refine a cutting edge suggesting the tool may have had a variety of functions.

A copper alloy (bronze) palstave of Middle Bronze Age date, probably of the Acton Park II/Taunton metalwork style (c. 1400-1250 BC). The cutting edge has a crescentic form with the tips recurving back onto the expanding form of the blade, though one side is more pronounced than the other. The maximum heights of the flanges on both sides are taller than the stop ridge height, with the flanges forming a leaf-shaped pattern when viewed from above. An incomplete Late Bronze Age copper-alloy socketed axe blade dating to circa 1300-800 BC. The extant piece consists of the crescentic cutting end, a fragment of the socket survives as a groove on the break. The cutting edge is smooth. Length, 29.15mm; Width, 39.46mm; Weight: 49.62g. A barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, 31mm in length, dating to the early Bronze Age / Beaker period (c. 2500 BC-c. 1500 BC) and made from a pale brown flint. The arrowhead is triangular with lenticular cross-section and has scaled and low angle retouch on both sides. The barbs are longer than the tang and convex on the outer edges with obliquely angled tips (Type C) and the tang is narrow and rounded (Type G).  This example fits into the sub-classification of non-Fancy B&T arrowheads best described as Green Low types (Butler 2005: 162-165, after Green (1980).

The artefact is the blade of the axe and consists of a broadly curved cutting edge with sides that flare out to reveal a hollow interior cavity. The artefact is sub-trapezoidal in plan. The broken edges are transverse to the cutting edge and are uneven, but all edges are abraded and chipped. The artefact has a powdery green patina.
