An unusual and incomplete ring of unknown date. It is made of a light material, probably bone or antler, or possibly shale as it is very dark in colour. The ring is D-shaped in section, being flat inside. The outside edge has been worked to give diagonal ribs extending from one edge to the other. Approximately half the ring has a layer consisting of over half the depth of the ring, 'shaved' off it. The structure below this is similar to bone.
