A heavily abraded sherd of hand-made Bronze Age pottery, probably in the Deverel-Rimbury or possibly post Deverel-Rimbury plainware tradition. The fabric is reduced grey with an oxidised reddish exterior and a calcined flint temper. The sherd has a curve to it suggesting it forms part of the side of a beaker or urn. There is no decoration evident.

A fragment of an early to middle Bronze Age copper alloy flanged or palstave axehead, comprising a 19.9mm long section of the butt end. The fragment is wedge shaped in side profile, with the tapering ends of parallel ridges along each side creating a characteristic H shaped cross section at the break, which is patinated and ancient.

There is a patch of short abrupt scaled retouch along one slightly side, suggesting a use as a scraper. The proximal end appears to have battering damage.

A crudely worked notched or hollow scraper made from a nodule fragment of dark brown flint, 59.9mm in length. The dorsal surface retains around 70% of its cortex. There are patches of short abrupt retouch around the sides, most noticeably on the distal end and along a concave edge on one side suggesting a use as a multi-functional scraper. The distal end appears to have some damage.

The dorsal surface retains around 50% cortex and the ventral surface has pronounced ripples suggesting hard-hammered removal.

The rim is rounded, 18.4mm thick with an original diameter of around 350mm. The sides are undecorated.

The rim is slightly everted with a flat upper surface and had an original diameter of around 330mm. The sides are undecorated with a pronounced carination and thin slightly up towards the rim.

The base is flat with original diameter around 120mm and has a rounded break at the centre which may represent an intentionally drilled hole (c. 15.5mm in diameter). From the base the sides flare outward and are around 9mm thick. There is no decoration.

A fragment of a cast copper alloy socketed axe dating to the late Bronze Age  (1100 BC - 800 BC), comprising a corner of the socket. The profile of the socket appears subrectangular and is surrounded by a thick rim with a moulded collar 9.6mm thick which has a triangular cross section. A side loop, 19mm in length, is present on the remaining portion of the side of the axehead and there is a visible casting seam running along it, from the rim to the break.

A small, incomplete and extremely corroded cast copper alloy dirk, of early to middle Bronze Age date, probably part of the Arreton to Taunton Metalworking assemblages. The blade is pointed, tapering with concave sides to a point. It has clearly been subject to extensive and repeated re-sharpening over a prolonged period and now retains little of its original form. The rear edge is rounded and incomplete with traces of a pair of flanking and now broken rivet holes. The blade has a flat and lenticular cross section with no clear midrib. A later prehistoric end scraper struck from a secondary nodule fragment of dark grey flint with a light brown cortex retained over 60% of the dorsal surface. The flake has been removed by hard hammering and there is no evidence of a prepared striking platform. The distal end has long semi abrupt parallel retouch defining a working edge which has been largely obscured by battering damage, some of this is clearly post depositional as it has broken the patina.

The distal end is triangular with steep sides defined by long and short semi-abrupt retouch into a working point. The right side long edge has scaled low angle retouch on the ventral face to refine a cutting edge suggesting the tool may have had a variety of functions.

A barbed and tanged flint arrowhead, 31mm in length, dating to the early Bronze Age / Beaker period (c. 2500 BC-c. 1500 BC) and made from a pale brown flint. The arrowhead is triangular with lenticular cross-section and has scaled and low angle retouch on both sides. The barbs are longer than the tang and convex on the outer edges with obliquely angled tips (Type C) and the tang is narrow and rounded (Type G).  This example fits into the sub-classification of non-Fancy B&T arrowheads best described as Green Low types (Butler 2005: 162-165, after Green (1980).

An incomplete copper alloy late Bronze Age sword hilt probably dating to the Wilburton or Ewart Park metalworking tradition and dating to 1000 - c.800. BC. The terminal is 'fishtailed', and 31.8mm wide, with flared, pointed ends and a small concave depression in the middle. The hilt plate is 19.6mm wide and presents two raised parallel ribs along its length on both faces, with a broad central groove between. The object has broken across the first rivet hole which has a casting seam around the inside edge. The object is heavily abraded and all breaks are patinated.
