A fragment of a copper alloy, Late Bronze Age blade, possibly from a sickle, 1250-900 BC. The object is composed of a tapering curve of metal, with a central mid rib that runs the length of the object. Either side of the mid rib the object tapers gently in cross section to form the blades. The object has an even green patina all over. Similar complete sickles can be found in Savory 1980 fig.46 no.6 and 7. These are dated to the late Bronze Age and were from a hoard near Llynfawr, Glam.
