A fragment of vessel of probable Late Bronze Age to Early Iron Age date (c.1000 - c. 600 BC).  Description:  The sherd is a body sherd, sub-rectangular in plan and slightly curved in profile. It is of a handmade grey, soft fabric. It is well fired, and is tempered with angular, poorly sorted, flint inclusions.  Measurements: Length: 27.1mm, Width: 21.5mm, Thickness: 10.3 mm, Weight: 6.17 g

Burnham Hoard 2010 T509: Ceramic: The pottery in the hoard appears to produce three seperate vessel bases, giving a minimum of three vessels associated with the hoard, however only the one remained relatively in tact. Area D: Block lifted vessel: The Burnham hoard contained one almost complete pottery vessel which was block lifted (hoard item T.D.2) before being deconstructed along fault lines to remove the metalwork contents.
