A small, conical copper alloy sheet metal dagger scabbard chape of medieval to early post medieval date (c 1300 -1500 AD). The chape has been made of a single piece of metal which has been cut and folded to join at an overlapping seam along the reverse. Some ddecoration exisits at the top opening of the chape consisting of two incised lines running parallel to each other around the circumfurance of the chape, within which are two small circular motifs.

An incomplete cast lead boss, possibly a bridle boss, of post-medieval date (c.1700-1900).
Description: When complete, the object was circular in plan. About a third of the edge has been lost. Object is made up of a central circular solid dome 23mm in diameter and 11.04mm high, surrounded by a circular hollow 2mm wide, surrounded by a raised ring 2.5mm wide, another circular hollow 2mm wide, and another raised ring 4.6mm wide. At the outer rings, the object is 6.2mm high. The reverse is generally flat with a rough surface. Surface is grey.

4 fragments of a puddingstone quern of probable Roman date. Puddingstone is distinctive conglomerate containing rounded red flint pebbles within a siliceous matrix, the main sources of which lie in Hertfordshire. Research carried out by Major (2004, 2-4) in Essex suggests that puddingstone rotary querns were produced here from at least 10 AD until around 160 AD and a similar chronology seems likely in Cambridgeshire.

An incomplete copper-alloy rowel spur of Post-Medieval date, c.1600 – 1800AD. The spur consists of an ovate sectioned neck which splits to one end forming the rowel box. The rowel is now missing.
The curved arms with a D-shaped section. Both arms have been bent and distorted, but each terminate with a pair of button-headed rivets. The spur has a mid-green patina and is worn.

An incomplete probably Medieval or Post Medieval iron double edged dagger blade, slightly bent, dating to cAD 1450 - 1600. It is a lozenge shaped in section, double-edged and tapering to a rough point. It is probably almost complete as a blade, narrowing a little at the upper end before an early rough break but there is no indication of a haft or attachment to a handle. It is heavily encrusted with rust and bent at the tip.

An incomplete cast copper alloy double-looped buckle of post-medieval date (c.1570-1700).
Description: The frame is flat on both faces. It is symmetrical and each loop is pentagonal in plan. At the centre of each outside edge there is a flat pointed swelling forming a triangle. There are lobed protrusions at the ends of the bar which is sub-rectangular in cross-section. Both faces are plain. It does not have a pin. It is white metal coated and has some iron corrosion.

A complete Medieval to Post Medieval cast copper-alloy double loop oval buckle dating c. AD 1350-1650. The frame is annular and D-shape in cross-section with a circular-sectioned pin bar. The reverse is otherwise flat. Attached to the pin bar is a short pin comprising a single piece of rectangular sheet pointed at one end and looped at the other. The surface patina of the frame and pin is mottle dark brown and dark green in colour.
The buckle measures 35.2mm diameter and 5.8mm thick. It weighs 11.4 grams.

Iron strip, perhaps the blade from a knife. It is 120mm long and one end is encased in delaminating corrosion. Away from this end, it is generally around 19mm wide, with one edge straight and 3mm thick, tapering to the other edge which may represent the cutting edge. The end without the corrosion layers has the cutting edge curving up to meet the back of the blade in a rounded point. The corroded end is broken and has no evidence of a whittle tang. The strip is now bent at a slight angle about halfway along its length. It weighs 45.0g.

Fragment of late Iron Age copper-alloy D-shaped terret, now very corroded but perhaps originally enamelled. It has a sub-circular or slightly oval upright collar terminal 13.7mm wide, 12.1mm tall and 4.8mm thick. From one side of this projects a triangular-section upper ring, with a flat inner and an angled outer. On the other side of the collar, at its base, is a stub of the attachment bar which shows that this was rectangular-section, 6.5 x 3.4mm, and set vertically. The overall length is 21.0mm and it weighs 7.34g.
