A copper alloy loop which is probably a strap fitting. Possibly a strap union or junction. The loop is oval with a D-shaped cross section. It is constructed from a rolled sheet metal tube. The ends have been flattened and are joined by a separate circular rivet of the same material. The loop has a smooth, light green patina.

A copper alloy composite strap end with forked spacer. The strap end comprises two short plates with in-curved upper edges and angled bases with a short pointed projection in the centre. The plates are tinned or silvered. Between them is a copper alloy forked spacer. The plates were attached to the strap by two rivets in the upper edges There are traces of iron corrosion around the rivet holes.
