A near complete cast lead-tin alloy (pewter) toy dating to the post-medieval period (c. AD 1600-1800).  The toy is in the form of an open-mouthed ewer or jug, on a pedistal base. The jug is hexagonally faceted, as is the base. The mouth of the jug is crenellated and is decorated just below its upper edge. The decoration takes the form of horizontal linear border. The first comprises a circular barrel and a circular cross section at the breech end, and muzzle. The muzzle has a decorative thick raised border around its edge. Two trunnions, which are round in section, project from a collar midway along the barrel. An incomplete lead or lead alloy whirligig or buzz wheel dating to the Post Medieval period (c. AD 1600-1700). The object is sub-circular in plan, with a serrated outer edge. The edge is chipped in two areas. There are two evenly spaced drill holes set along the centre of the toy. The object is undecorated and has a mid-grey patina.  Comparable examples recorded on the PAS datbase include LVPL-585419,  LEIC-009F89 and SWYOR-A36133.  The overall dimensions are as follows: 32.44mm in diameter, 5.61mm in thickness and 24.56g in weight.
