The cup has a hexagonal pedestal base, now folded flat, and a fluted hexagonal body which flares up from the narrow base to a rim, which has fine moulded decoration around the rim comprising swags or foliate sprays over a chain of pellets or small annulets.
This object is broadly similar in scale to early post medieval lead alloy toy cups in Forsyth and Egan (2005: p294), but the form is stylistically more akin …

An incomplete post Medieval (18th century) cast lead alloy "shycock" target in the form of a bird depicted facing right with wings folded, details of feathers, a small pellet eye and a slashed line mouth. The legs and tail are incomplete; originally it would have stood on an integrally cast base. The model is only detailed on the front side, suggesting it was intended to be viewed from this side only.

An imcomplete Post-Medieval (AD 1650-1800) Toy Gun. The gun consists of the butt and barrel, with the stubs of an iron trigger mechanism which project both above and below the position of the lock. Some of the long cylindrical barrel is missing. It is cast in one piece with a groove along the top edge to accommodate the iron mechanism, mentioned above. The external surface is decorated with scrolls and curlicues of vegetal character. A further circular rivet runs through the butt of the gun, perhaps aiding in the fixing of the iron component along with the two rivets at the centre.
