A copper alloy medieval iron spear head, AD.1100-1400. The object comprises most of the blade and socket of an iron assymetrical spearhead. The blade has broken at the tip losing its point, the break is straight and either caused by a sharp bend in the metal or fracturing along a line of slag. The socket is complete and is a closed type, this would suggest an origin in either the Roman or Medieval period. Iron spearhead of probably late Medieval date. The blade is complete and a broad leaf shape with convex curved sides widening evenly form the point to the rounded base of the blade. A rounded rib runs from the socket about half way along the length of the blade on both sides; the ribs thicken towards the base but appear solid. The blade is otherwise flat and even in thickness. A section of animal bone, modified by cutting and filing into a probable fishing spear. The object consists of a tapering, hollow section of animal bone that has been chamfered on three sides to create a sharper point at the narrower end. This pointed terminal has been further modified by cutting and filing to produce a double point with a rectangular notch in the centre. This terminal is now broken and incomplete. Nearly complete but highly corroded spearhead with damage to the base of the socket. Socket is circular, with straight sides converging to the blade. There are no discernible rivet holes or forged seam. The blade is flat-sectioned and has an unusual angular flame shaped profile. The basal section is lozenge shaped. The lack of forged seam suggests that this is Medieval or Post Medieval.

Tine from an eel spear; this implement would comprise a series of blunt tines arranged in a fan pattern; the fisherman would lunge with the spear at eels which would be trapped between the tines without suffering serious injury. An incomplete Medieval iron spearhead dating to the 14th-15th centuries. This is a socketed spearhead with a triangular-shaped blade. There is a slight midrib extending down the midline of the blade before the bevelled cutting edges. An iron spearhead which is probably medieval in date. The spearhead is 181mm long and the blade is 30.1mm wide with the socket being 23.3mm in diameter. A Medieval iron socketed spear head (14th – 15th century). The spear head is narrow with a lozenge-shaped section. The socket is broad with one nail hole with nail still present and possibly a second nail hole, but corrosion is obscuring the detail. There is an oval section of the socket and part of the socket edge missing. Some wood is preserved within the socket. It has a round socket and triangular head, the edges of which are slightly convex. The barbs were probably pointed and quite short (around 8mm in length).
