Copper alloy and iron Escutcheon or keyhole cover. Cast flat plate of bell-like form, with ferrous corrosion attached to an apical lug. The side with the iron fitting bears stamped letters A R. The other side bears the stamped legend PATENT below the stamped impression of a Classical frontage with curved pediment, and the letters RE- forming the ground storey of this image. Machine turned lines appear around the end and sides of the object. Now distorted and split along one side. Suggested date: Modern, 1850-1900. Copper alloy Possible Door Fitting. Possibly part of a lock. A cast rectangular plate with a stepped edge. On what is taken to be the internal side, a semicircular ridge with a lug at either end stands proud of the surface. Centrally to this feature a short pin protrudes. A countersunk screw hole at one edge of the plate has a diameter in excess of 2mm. The finder observes this fragment is probably machined. Suggested date: Modern, 1930-1960. Length: 26.2mm, Width: 18.7mm, Thickness (clear of internal features): 1.5mm, Weight: 5.93gms.

Fragment of a cast rectangular plate with a rectangular rebate on one broken edge (perhaps for the movement of a Yale latch), and a lightly countersunk screw hole at the opposite broken edge (perhaps to fasten plate to door). A further curving edge is probably a random break. The finder observes this fragment is probably machined. Suggested date: Modern, 1930-1960. Length/Height: 17.3mm, Width: 19.8mm, Thickness: 1.6mm, Weight: 2.63gms.
