A square copper alloy Post Medieval weight, probably a coin wieght or apothercary's weight, datng form about AD 1500 - 1800. It is square, with champfered edges. One face is marked wth a numeral two (2), and the other has the initial C B (probably), though wear and corrosion make the weight mainly illegible. The object is 19.5mm square, 4.9mm thick and weighs 11.69g. No close parallel has been found, but the mass suggests it could be to measure a French 2 pistol coin (13.48g).
