Copper alloy posible coin weight. Cast discoid weight. Each side is stamped: 6:9, which appears as the second-lowest value in sets of weights to measure Portuguese and English gold coins, these being unusually closely dated to the period 1760-1773. However, similar notation might be added by other professionals using blank weights they had bought for their own uses, and such weights ‘are very common indeed’ (Withers and Withers 2011, page 63). The reverse has a border of stars or pellets containing the upright hand of Antwerp with illegible maker's initials to either side; possibly B F for Bernaert Foncq (1550-1578).

A post medieval cast copper alloy continental bi-faced coin weight of 3g (46.2 gn) for a half ryal, dated to AD 1580. The weight is sub-rectangular and features a ship with rose on the hull and a letter R left of the mast (for Rose noble or Ryal). The reverse has the upright hand of Antwerp with a numbers each side indicating the date, 8 and 0. Possibly by by Hans Foncq of Antwerp.

The object is rectangular in shape and very worn and corroded on the obverse with no discernable design surviving.  Length: 12.91mm; width: 11.07mm; thickness: 2.66mm and weight: 2.21g. The weight is very worn and unidentifiable Withers (2011:9) notes that rectangular coin weights of bronze are most likely from Bruges.

Post medeival cast copper alloy double-sided coin weight. Produced by the Antwerp manufacturer Reynier van Ettersom, known to have been active in 1575, the coin weight was made in the reign of Elizabeth I for the crown of 48 grains (3.1g) issued during the reigns of Henry VIII and Edward VI, 1545-9 (Withers, 1995: 35). Neither face has any decoration making dating difficult, as coin weights are traditionally decorated. The metal has a dark green patina and is pitted on the sides.
