The weight equates to c.75gr suggesting that it was probably for an angel coin, although the weight falls between the two issues (Withers and Withers 1995, 68).

A complete copper-alloy late medieval or post-medieval coin weight. It is a flattened square shape with a cross potent within a quadrilobe one one face and the letters IA with an unclear symbol below, all within a raised circle on the other face. A weight for an uncertain Spanish denomination or a coin of a Spanish colony in South America (Withers and Withers 1995, 44). Seemingly underweight for an excellente (3.5g), 1 escudo (3.38g) or 1 reale (3.38g) (ibid., 71).

A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy coin weight dating to circa AD 1576-1579 It is flat and square shaped shaped in plan with rectangular edges. Obverse: illegible shield of arms in circular frame surmounting concentric circles; Reverse: Hand of Antwerp in ciruclar frame flanked by K/I.
The hand of Antwerp design indicates that it was an unidentified Antwerp maker operating between 1576 to 1579 (Withers and Withers 1995: 61).

A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy bifacial coin weight dating to circa AD 1550-1650. It is square shaped in plan with flat edges. The front face is stamped with the image of a ship with large rose in circular beaded border. The reverse is stamped with a maker's mark of a hand followed by the initials HB. The presence of the rose indicates it is for the weight of a ryal. The design on the front face and the stamp of the hand on the reverse are generally associated with Antwerp (Withers and Withers 1995).

The other face has the hand of Antwerp with the letters K and I to either side and a star below, which dates it to AD 1576-79 according to Wither and Withers (ibid.). There is no indication of denomination or who the figure is on the obverse.

A complete Post Medieval copper-alloy bifacial coin weight dating to circa AD 1604-1619. It is square in plan and trapezoidal in section. Its edges are bevelled. The obverse and reverse are both crudely inscribed with XXII.
The XXII inscription notes that the weight is at 22 shillings probably under the reign of James I (AD 1603-1625) likely to date between AD 1604-1619 (Withers and Withers 1994: 25). It falls slightly below the standard weight of 155 grains.

A Post Medieval copper-alloy coin weight dating to AD 1700-1800. The coin weight is circular. Its front and back faces are are identical, with a circumferential beaded border. Inside the border is S.D/4:6 in two lines. This denotes four shillings and sixpence, to the value of an eighth of a Johannes gold coin. It is the smallest denomination for a set of weights for a coin.
Other examples on the database include IOW-E6942C and SWYOR-698EF2. It is similar to a range of examples depicted in Withers and Withers 1995: 54.
