A flat, discoidal late Post-Medieval copper alloy coin weight dating from 1760 to 1772. The coin has raised moulded decoration on both sides reading S+D / 13+6, indicating that it represented a value of 13 shillings and 6 pence. Both sides have decorative running borders of small chevrons. The object is dark brown in colour. Measurements: diameter 16.36mm, thickness 2.58mm, weight 3.70g. The weight is very worn and unidentifiable Withers (2011:9) notes that rectangular coin weights of bronze are most likely from Bruges.

This type is illustrated in Withers, (1995) p. 20 which notes the letter 'h' stands for Henricus or Henry. They are from Germany or the Low Countries but those with plain reverses are generally German.
