Broad period: POST MEDIEVAL

A post medieval hooked tag cast in a single piece. The plate is ca 15mm long by 12.5mm wide. The plate was cast with integral decoration which is now worn but appears to have been 3 raised bosses in a triangular arrangement (apex to the top of the plate) set in openwork scrolling. The finish on the scrollwork is not perfect, some of the open holes are in fact blocked by flashes from the casting. The hook is broken off (ca 14mm remaining length). At the top of the plate opposite the hook is a rectangular attachment loop, 12mm wide and projecting 6mm from the plate.
