Small, thin discoidal piece of lead stamped with a heraldic device and possibly residual from a cloth seal or similar merchandise control. It is between 12 and 13mm in circumference and just over 1mm thick. The device was contained within a beaded lozenge of probably 9mm on each side. It consisted of a shield with a crown above. Within the shield a smaller shield is contained centrally, in which stands a creature (possibly a lion) rampant facing dexter. Small trefoils emerge from the margin and corners of the inner shield to occupy the space within the outer shield.

Lead cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. There is a legend on one disc which reads MS [GO]ET[...], meaning 'Goods from Haarlem', and the start of a scroll. The central motif is the arms of Haarlem - a sword erect between four mullets. The left side of this disc is almost entirely lost. Only a small section of the second disc survives. A beaded border can be seen, however the central motif is unclear. The connecting shank is lost. The cloth seal would have been attached to a length of holland, a fine linen cloth.
