An incomplete lead-alloy cloth seal, dating to the period AD 1650 to 1705.
The seal comprises two flat circular discs, one of which is now damaged, joined with a small rectangular connecting strip. One disc bears the relief-stamped legend 'WOR/STED/REFOR/MED', within a stamped circular border. On the second disc are the numerals '40', which probably refers to the length of the cloth, in yards.
Length: 21mm; width: 17mm; thickness: 2mm. Weight: 4.38g.

An incomplete lead-alloy alnage cloth seal from the reign of George I (1714 - 1727). Two of the original four discs remain, joined by a folded connecting strip. One of the sub-oval discs bears the relief-stamped bust of the king, who faces right and is surrounded by the legend FIDEI DEFEN within a beaded circular border. On the other disc, is a thistle surmounted by a crown. There is an 'I' in the left field, referring to the duty in pence. The seal measures 24mm in length and 14mm in width.

Part of a post-medieval (1500-1700) lead-alloy seal cloth consisting of disc one. Part of the squashed rivet remains on the reverse of disc one, and a small part of the connecting strip on one edge. The seal disc is circular, and the edges have been bent out of shape, though the disc is complete. Disc two is missing. The seal depicts a swan standing left (from the viewer's perspective) in low relief, with the letters MES on the left and *V on the right.
The cloth seal measures 19.4 mm in max. diameter, 1.2mm in thickness and weighs 3.35 g.

Early post medieval lead alloy two part cloth seal, 21mm in diameter and 4mm thcik with a weight of 8.10grams. The object is circular in form and rectangular in cross section. It consists of two discs joined by a short rectangular bar. One face is decorated with a large letter A with a double V shaped bar, flanked by three pellets. This stands for the city of Augsburg, Germany. The other side has a 'pine cone' motif consisting of an oval with cross hatching with a trefoil motif at one end.

Lead alloy cloth seal of the Commonwealth dating from AD1657. It is a four-part or four-disc cloth seal with the following imagery: Blank // plain cross on ornate saltire // cockerel on bow-like base, 5 7 to sides // blank.

The object is a two part seal, consisting of two discs with a strap joinging them. One side is decorated with arope effect border which contsins the letter V above an ox? rearing up facing left. The other side contains traces of a shield, whose upper half is decorated with rectangles containing dots. The shield sits on a dotted border.

Post Medieval Dutch lead alloy cloth seal, 23mm long, 18mm wide and 4mm thick. The seal is in good condition with a cream patina and a weight of 9.64 grams. It is sub circular in form and on one side it has a raised border which contains R&A 361 (a control number). The other side has a beaded border with contains a Royal crowned crest showing a rampart lion holding a sword or staff.

Cast lead-alloy inner disc from a four-part cloth seal, dating from the first quarter of the 17th century into the early 18th century (c. 1625-1725). The disc is circular with a flat sub-rectangular cross section; the edges are slightly bevelled. Post medieval lead alloy cloth seal, 31mm in diameter. The object is in good condition with a grey patina and weighs 16.58 grams. The seal consists of two discs of lead pressed together and joined by a narrow strip 19mm long. The front of the seal has a late privy mark with WF. The reverse is incised with XZ4 3Z? A very similar example is shown in 'finds identified' and dates from the 18th Century.

Incomplete lead cloth seal of seventeenth century date. Diameter 37mm and about 1.0mm thick. Weight 10.39g.
Disc 2 of a 4 disc seal. The edge has old breaks and the broken parts are missing. The front face bears the arms of the City of London:
the cross of St George is ridged and obliquely counter-charged. The first quarter, the dexter chief, is charged with a sword erect. The sword has a cross-guard and the blade is straight and pointed. A border defined by a plain inner circle and a beaded outer circle contains the inscription in the upper part:

Lead alloy cloth seal. This seal has a diameter of 14.42mm, is 1.58mm thick and weighs 1.49g. It is circular in plan, with a small knop to one side which fromed part of the attachment. On one side of the seal is an Irish style harp with an I above. The reverse is very worn and the design cannot be discerned. It is probably 17th century in date.

Measures 27.8mm long, by 21mm wide (diameter of circles), by 3.5mm thick (total). Each plate measures 1.4mm thick. Connecting strip is 7.4mm wide. Weight = 11.66g.

The cloth seal is sub-circular in plan. The seal is made of two discs, which are connected by a connecting strip. One disc has a rivet which fits through the hole of the second disc and then is flattened.
The surface of the rivet disc has a design which has a probable thistle, which is represented by an oval shaped body with sub-lozenge shaped cross-hatching. Protruding from the upper edge of the thistle there are three plumes. This design is bordered by an oval ridge with inward facing crosses as decoration.
