An incomplete post medieval lead alloy cloth seal from the German city of Augsburg for linen and cotton fabric known as "Ousbrow or Augusta fustians" (Elton (2017) p296). One side has a stylistic, lower case letter ‘a’ within a beaded border. The reverse has a pine cone, the heraldic badge of Augsburg. Circa 16th to early 17th century.

A lead cloth seal or other seal dating from the post medieval period, about AD 1500 - 1800. It is a two disc seal with a fluted connecting tab. An integral rivet from the back of one disc passes through a hole in the other and is flattened. The rivet disc is marked with a large plain letter C (or perhaps a crescent). An incomplete lead-alloy cloth seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1400 – 1900. The cloth seal is of the two-disc type though only one disc remains intact sealed by a central rivet. One surface is stamped with a five-pointed star. The other side appears plain. The metal has a light brown/white patina and is in fair condition. An incomplete lead fragment from a 'four part' cloth seal, probably dating to the early 17th century. Lozenge shaped and flat, with sub-rectangular attachment strips at either end. The seal face depicts a crowned harp within a scribed lozenge border. The reverse is plain and the surface displays a light buff colour. Length 21.6mm, width 16mm, thickness 1.2mm, weight 2.4g. On one face is a central cross or privy mark flanked by possible letters and some symbols; a six pointed star on the bottom right. On the other face are further indistinct markings in a pellet border.
