A complete lead alloy two disc type cloth seal from St Gallen, Switzerland, of Late Medieval to Early Post Medieval dating (circa 1424-1529). This seal is of the two disc type as it comprises two circular discs riveted together. An eagle facing left within a circular cartouche is on the front disc. The reverse disc has the remains of the rivet in the centre, and the letter S to the right. It measures 26.4 mm in length, 28.0 mm diameter of the disks and 4.0 mm thick. It weighs 11.2 g.
