A lead alloy uniface cloth or bag seal, of post medieval date, (c. AD 1650 - 1800). The object is pentagonal, 12.4 mm per side with a raised rim. The device is a barred A, usually the symbol of the German city of Augsberg. The object is pierced above the A with a neat circular perforation, probably for attachment by string or ribbon. Height 15.5 mm, thickness 2.3 mm and weight 3 g.

A lead-alloy cloth seal of Post-Medieval date. Only one of the two discs, along with its integral rivet survive. The surviving disc is stamped with a deep, VI above an H on the front of the disc, with no other decoration. At the 11 o'clock position is the end of a rectangular stamp containing an R. This stamp would have been on the strip connecting the two discs. On the back of the seal is a stamp of C (tree) S.

The front face is stamped with the incuse number 48. The central rivet extends from its reverse and projects through the centre of disc 2 and is then squashed flat. One of the sub-oval discs bears the relief-stamped bust of the king, who faces right and is surrounded by the legend 'GEORGIVS REX' within a ribbed border. 11 x post-medieval lead cloth seals. The form and style of lettering on each suggests a 19th century date. Egan writes 'stamped lead seals were widely used in the European textile industry during the late-medieval/early-modern period. They were attached to individual cloths as part of a system of industrial regulation and quality control. In England seals of this type were current from at least the late fourteeth to the early nineteenth centuries (1995, vii).'

The Alnage system ended in AD 1724, three years before the king’s death The remaining seal depicts Saint George on horseback spearing the dragon, with number 1 to his left. An incomplete Post Medieval lead-alloy cloth seal dating c. AD 1500-1800. The seal comprises two fused damaged discs. One disc features a moulded design of a shield, within which is a band with three horseshoes arranged in a row. Above the band are two left facing horse heads. Below the band is a single horse head. The circumference of the disc has a beaded or reeled border. The second disc features a surviving part of the rivet that holds the two discs together. This is plain with no decoration. The seal measures 13.5mm diameter, 3.8mm thick and weighs 2.43 grams.

A post medieval lead biface cloth seal but only one lobe survives. On the surviving face is displayed the coat of arms for the Dutch city of Rotterdam in a square shield. The upper part is divided into four, each containing a lion passant. The lower part is divided vertically into three. Around the shield, should be the inscription ROTTERDAM but this is now worn away. The disc closest to the joining strip has an impressed long-cross quartered flat-top shield with three lis in diametrically opposed quarters and an irish harp and a rose in the other two quarters.
