A complete lead Cloth Seal of Post-Medieval to Modern date (AD 1700-1950). The seal is composed of two lead discs connected by two tabs, one each side. There is a slot in one edge and a bifurcated slot in the opposite edge, to function as a drawstring bag closure. It is broadly oval in plan. On one side there are some raised letters reading NE/(\ with the remainder illegible.   Length: 18.66mm, Width: 18.05mm, Thickness: 5.74mm, Weight: 7.6g The metal is dark cream/light brown with a predominantly smooth patina.

A cloth seal or pot mend of uncertain date. The object is formed of two discs both flat and circular in plan but one of which is much larger. These are held together by a central circular rivet. The object is an off white colour. The object is 20.7mm long, 18mm wide, 3mm thick and weighs 4.71 grams. This item was found in the same area as two futher pot mends OXON-A376D2 and OXON-A36F3B which may suggest this had the same form. However each discs walls are far thinner and the overall form is far closer to a Post medieval cloth seal such as OXON-B7B2C3.

A complete lead alloy Bag seal of Modern date (AD 1910).  The object is circular and flat with rectangular openings in the sides. One side has a circumferential inscription which reads: POPERINGHE.VILLE/[HOUBLON] within the centre is the date 1910. The seal is circular in plan and comprises two equal sized lead discs linked by a recurved rectangular tab. One face has a punched inscription reading I F. An incomplete lead-alloy cloth seal dating to the late 17th century within the reign of King William III (AD 1689-1702). The cloth seal would have been a four part cloth seal made of four discs connected by linear tabs with a rivet projecting from one outside disc and a hole in another allowing these to be joined together. Now only one disc survives this depicts a crowned rose between the numbers 1 and 2 indicating the alnage subsidy for the cloth of 1 1/2 pence. The cloth seal is a light grey colour. This is a punning device/rebus which makes a visual reference to the name of the town (‘T-tun’ for Taunton). The inscription reading from 7 o’clock is TA[NTON . SA]RGES giving the name of the town and the type of cloth. The reverse appears to have a castle, church or town gate with legend [...]IO[...] around; this likely the name of the serge-maker (possibly IO[HN...]).

It is a uniface disc bearing a quartered shield with three lis in the lower right quarter and three lions in the quarter above. It may have been part of a four disc or two disc cloth seal. A complete Post Medieval four-part lead alloy Alnage cloth seal, dating to the reign of James I (AD 1603 – 1625). The seal consists of four discs connected. One disc depicts a crowned lion passant guardant, facing left, within a raised border. Another disc shows a crown within a raised border. Two discs are blank, no legible inscription visible.
