The outer face has text across four lines reading WOR/STED / REFOR/MED: the reverse is largely unclear but has a numeral 2, part of a number which indicates the quantity of yards the piece contained (see Egan, (1987), p173 and BH-1A11D7).

A post medieval two disc lead alloy cloth seal of Taunton in Somerset. The obverse has a letter ‘T’ with a barrel (or ‘tun’) placed across the centre. This is a punning device/rebus which makes a visual reference to the name of the town (‘T-tun’ for Taunton). The inscription reading from 7 o’clock is TA[NTON . SA]RGES giving the name of the town and the type of cloth. The reverse appears to have a castle, church or town gate with legend [...]IO[...] around; this likely the name of the serge-maker (possibly IO[HN...]).

An incomplete post medieval lead Dutch cloth seal from the city of Haarlem, dating to the 17th century. The seal is a two-disc type, missing the outer portion of both discs. Disc 1 bears a moulded shield with the city arms: sword erect, four mullets to sides, cross potent in chief. This would probably have originally had a surrounding legend [HAERLEMS GOET] (Goods from Haarlem). Disc 2 has the numerals 19 in the centre referring to the measured length of the piece in Dutch ells.

A complete lead alloy alnage seal dating from the reigns of William III and Mary (1688-1702). The inner disc features a bare-headed bust, right with legend OF ENG-LAND. The reverse features a crowned RWMR monogram for William III and Mary Stuart over an eight petalled flower. The alnage subsidy for the cloth of 4 1/2 pence is indicated around the crown.

A lead alloy clothworker's personal seal with a privy mark on one side surrounded by a beaded border. The mark comprises the letters G Z H over a central stalk, with perpendicular arms over a loop at the base and an unclear projection obove, (similar to an upside down anchor). The reverse is blank and there is a stamped pattern of Vs between linear borders on the connecting tab. Circa 16th-18th century.
