A complete lead alloy Bag seal of Modern date (AD 1910).  The object is circular and flat with rectangular openings in the sides. One side has a circumferential inscription which reads: POPERINGHE.VILLE/[HOUBLON] within the centre is the date 1910. The opposing side is the coat of arms for Poperinge. The object is a Belgian, Hop Seal. Diameter: 25.40mm, Thickness: 5.52mm, Weight: 23.5g The metal is cream in colour with a slightly pitted patina. A two-disc lead cloth seal dating to the post-medieval period (c. AD 1553-1700). The object is sub-circular in plan and is comprised of two discs are fastened by a split pin type arrangement and a connecting tab.   It is an example of the 'County' series bearing a crowned portcullis. On the slightly larger face is depicted the crowned portcullis encircled by a pelleted border and legend which is now worn and extends beyond the edge of the seal. A lead alloy clothworker's personal seal stamped on one side with a privy mark comprising the letters W I flanking a shaft from an incomplete "sign of four", with numerals XX below. Underneath that is a date, which possibly reads 1728. The whole device is contained within a circular beaded border. The reverse has some characters scratched into it, one of which may represent a letter I. Across the stump of the loop which links both halves of the seal is a partial impression of text within a rectangular border, the only remaining letter of which is the letter D.

The Seal comprises two discs that are held together by an integral rivet of one disc passing through a perforation in the other disc and being squashed and marked at the same time to form the seal. An incomplete Post-Medieval lead cloth seal, dating to the Post-Medieval period (AD 1500-1750).  The cloth seal is comprised of one circular disc and was probably part of a four disc seal.It has a relief design of an Irish harp encircled by a line border on one face. The other face has a central pellet and a raised line border. The object is 19.9mm long, 15.5mm wide, 2.0mm thick and weighs 2.95g. The central pellet on NLM-5FDFB8 is similar, though the harp is a different design.

The seal is made from two flat discs that would have been connected by a connecting loop (though part of the loop is now missing) with a moulded projecting tab passing through a hole in one of the discs. The discs are both very worn, though there remains elements of prior decoration.
