The seal is made from two discs, one with an integral rivet, which are joined by a connecting strip. The obverse has ' A N / T ' stamped in the centre. The reverse, where the flattened rivet is visible, has a design stamped onto it but it is indistinguishable. There is possibly a high-relief 'J' shape with a large annulet near the heel of the 'J', but this is not certain.

Complete lead cloth seal. Disc 1 has a faintly scratched design of what may be a merchant's mark. Disc 2 has a stamp depicting a windmill - a simple building with a hipped roof and a door, set on top of a triangle which presumably represents the post, with a ladder leading up to the door. No sails are visible. No parallel to this seal has been found either in the BM collection or the Salisbury Museum collection.

The cloth seal is made up of two discs and a connecting strip. There appears not to be a stud, or a hole through which the stud went on either of the discs. The discs appear to be pushed together. One face has 'SL' intertwined in the centre. Around which the inscription is '41ob ยท S O M E R S E T'. The reverse has '[ ]GRIX' across the top with a shield below. The shield is divided into quarters, and it appears that the upper quarters are also quartered. Details of the shield are not clear.

A lead stamped cloth seal. In England seals of this type were in use from the late 14th to the early 19th centuries and were used to mark cloths for commercial sale (Egan 1994, p1). Of this cloth seal two discs survive, neither have a rivet, these two discs are therefore almost certainly the two inner discs, discs 2 and 3, from a four-part seal. These discs measure 15mm in diameter. On one of them the word IPSWICH can be read near its edge, there are the remains of other letters on this disc none of which can be clearly seen. No stamp can be seen at all on the other disc.
