A complete lead cloth seal of post-medieval date. The seal is of the two disc type sealed by a central rivet and linked by an integral stem. The upper disc bears traces of a now indistinct design and the lower disc is undecorated. Traces of organic material, most probably leather, remain between the two discs.
The metal is a mid whitish-brown colour and is worn. The seal is 23mm long (including stem), 18.6mm in diameter, 3.6mm thick and weighs 5.1g.

An incomplete lead cloth seal of post-medieval date. The seal is of the two disc type though the majority of the reverse disc has been lost along with the connecting strip. The front surface bears the raised design of the letter "A" within a circumferential border. What remains on the reverse is a series of pellets which may represent a pinecone.
The seal is 19.3mm in diameter, 3.8mm thick and weighs 4.7g.
The 'A' and pinecone design indicates the seal is likely to have originated in Augsburg, Germany as the pinecone is the heradlic badge of the city. It is suggested that such …

An incomplete lead-alloy cloth seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 – 1750.
The cloth seal is of the two-disc type though only one disc remains intact. The upper surface of the remaining disc is stamped on the upper surface with an indistinct design, possibly the letter ‘P’.
A thick compressed circular rivet remains at the centre of the reverse, possibly with the partial remains of the reverse disc to the tip.
The metal has a light brown/white patina and is in fair condition. The seal is 22.3mm in diameter, 4.9mm thick and weighs 6.4g.

An incomplete two or four disc lead-alloy cloth seal of post medieval date, c. AD 1603-1714.
It consists of a disc with a protruding fragment of the connecting strip. The outer face of the disc has a stamped motif with the royal arms of the House of Stuarts, the other face is undecorated.
The seal has a pale cream coloured patina with worn edges. It measures 16.79mm in length, 12.22mm in width, 1.64mm in thickness and weighs 1.03g.

The cloth seal is of the two-disc type joined by an integral strip and sealed by a central rivet.
One surface is stamped with text around the edge reading FRANCIS MAUDE WAKEFIELD around an interlaced design of the letters F/M//W flanking a vertical line topped by the number 4.
The metal has a mid-brown patina and is in fair condition. The seal is 41.7mm long, 29.9mm in diameter, 5.6mm thick and weighs 17.8g.

It is an sub-circular disc with an irregular rectangular section. The obverse depicts a lion rampant set within a sub-circular cell. Both sides of the seal are very worn, meaning that further decoration on this side or any on the reverse can be determined. The obverse possibly depicts a simplification of the Dutch coat of arm.
The lead-alloy is pale cream in colour. The object measures 12.61mm in diameter, 1.68mm in thickness and 1.71g in weight.

Fragment of a lead cloth seal dating (c.1660-1724AD). This is a single disc, from a four disc alnage seal. The seal depicts a crown within a border of pellets. On either side of the cross pattée on top of the crown is 1 ½ signifying the alnage tax paid on the cloth it was attached to. Elton (2017) notes that the alnage system officially ended in 1724 with the death of George I. The other side of the seal is blank. The seal is very thin with crack lines and a powdery white patina.

The obverse bears the arms of the Dutch city of Haarlem which comprises a sword with four mullets to the size and a cross pattée above with the lettering HAERLEMS GOESTS (goods from Haarlem). The reverse has the number 20, within a beaded border, for 20 els (Dutch equivalent of a yard) being the length of the cloth.
