A lead two disc cloth seal of likely Post Medieval date (c. AD 1600-1800). The seal is made from two flat discs that would have been connected by a connecting loop which has broken. The discs are both worn, although neither shows clear evidence of damage. The obverse disc is flat and smooth with two incised lines (likely caused post-depositionally). The reverse disc has a lozenge shaped insertion with no obvious detail. The edges are slightly chipped and there is some surface abrasion. Dimensions - Length: 36;43mm; width: 27.56mm; thickness: 3.23mm; weight: 15.67g

An incomplete lead post-medieval cloth seal. Both discs survive, but the connecting strip is now missing. One disc features raised unclear letting with what appears to be the date 155[] below. The other features a sheep fleece/hanging sheep surrounded by a circle of pellets.  See PAS records YORYM-1684C3, PUBLIC-A6EBF2, NMS-F74ACA, HESH-136956, LIN-7988E4, DUR-AE5581 for comparison. The sheep fleec/hanging sheep features on the City of Leeds coat of arms and it seems likely that these seals are alnage/subsidy seals associated with the wool trade there.
