A single disc of a lead-alloy cloth seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1660 - 1727. The seal would have originally had two or four alnage type discs joined by an integral central strip. This disc depicts a crowned harp with a number 1/4 to the left indicating the alnage subsidy of 1 farthing for the cloth. The opposite disc would have displayed the head of the monarch. See BUC-BE798B for a complete Queen Anne example.

An incomplete lead post-medieval two-part cloth seal. Both parts are sub-circular in shape with damage to their outer edges and the strip that once connected them is now missing. One part has a sub-circular hole through the centre and the other a projection from the centre of the reverse, which has been passed through the hole and hammered flat to fill it. One face has the letters '[I]DE' on it and the other a three towered castle with part of a lion passant guardant below (arms of Norwich). It is heavily corroded and bent out of shape.

A Post-Medieval Belgian single disc bulla type lead cloth-seal from the city of Tournai dating to the 16th-17th century.
Sub-circular and flat, with a vertical piercing. The obverse depicts a fleur-de-lis within a toothed border and an outer inscription of; S•D[E TOVR]NAI• The reverse depicts a crenellated turret with an arched entrance and a pellet on either side. The surface displays a light buff colour.

A single uniface disc from a four disc type lead alnage cloth seal issued during the reign of George I dating to c.1714-24.
Circular and flat. The face has a crowned shield bearing the impaled arms of England (three lions passant) and Scotland (a lion rampant). Flanking the shield are the figures 1 - 1/2 that relate to the one and a half pence alnage fees paid. The reverse is plain and the surface displays a light grey colour.
Diameter 14.7mm, thickness 0.9mm and weight 1.2g.

An incomplete German lead two-disc type, Augsburg cloth seal dating to c.1500-1650.
Circular and flat, one face of the seal depicts a pinecone with a trefoil terminal surrounded by a circle of cinquefoils, all within a toothed outer border. The reverse consists of just the central rivet that bears a letter A with a chevron bar. The pine-cone is the heraldic badge of the city of Augsburg.

It consists of a disc with a protruding fragment of the connecting strip. The outer face of the disc has a stamped motif with the royal arms of the House of Stuarts, the other face is undecorated.
The seal has a pale cream coloured patina with worn edges. It measures 16.79mm in length, 12.22mm in width, 1.64mm in thickness and weighs 1.03g.

The outer face is decorated with a square-shield bearing an unclear heraldic device featuring fleur-de-lis to either side, its style suggesting a post-medieval date. Originally this would have comprised two discs attached together via a lug projecting from the reverse of on and passing through a hole in the centre of the other. Now all that remains is the lug, squashed flat, with part of an unclear heraldic design on its outer end where it would have sat through the hole. The surface of the metal is hevaily corroded and the details are unclear. The design suggests a post-medieval date.

A Post-Medieval lead bulla type Post Office 'eagle & dolphin' cloth bagseal, dating to c.1690-1708.
Sub-circular and flat. The obverse has two oval shields within an elaborate ropework. The left shield bears an eagle displayed and the right shield an embowed dolphin with two saltires in the chief above, all within a toothed border. The reverse is illegible. The seal is mis-shapen, with many dents and gouges and displays a buff colour.

Medieval to Post Medieval (14th and 18th centuries) cloth seal: The lead cloth seal is fragmentary and is a portion of a disc, which was probably originally part of a four-disc cloth seal. The disc has a broken edge, and is uniface. The design is a central shield with a chevron. The disc has a legend around the edge with a beaded border between the legend and shield. The legend is not illegible and the letters are widely spaced. The surface of the seal is oxidised forming a cream coloured surface.
It measures 18.5mm long, 13.08mm wide and 1.59mm thick. It weighs 1.69g.

Description: the cloth seal is comprised of two circular discs and an incomplete connecting strip. Both discs appear to be undecorated, although a faint 'S' or '5' might be visible on disc 1. There is a rivet on the reverse of disc 1 that has pierced the second disc.

An incomplete probable Post Medieval lead cloth seal dating to c. AD 1500-1700. The seal is sub-oval in plan, with two sub-oval lead faces pressed either side against a central lead face. There is a slightly raised border on each face where the seal was originally stamped, but the stamps are too degraded to distinguish any design or legend. Part of the lead face is missing on one of the faces, due to old damage. The find has a light cream patina.

The Obverse features the relief-stamped bust of the king, who faces right within a ribbed border, the legend is not visible. The Reverse features a crown surmounted by a lion, again within a ribbed border. There is an 'I' in the left field and '1/2' in the right field, referring to the duty in pence. The seal is in poor condition and has a light grey, brown patina.

An incomplete lead post-medieval cloth seal dating to the year AD 1664. Only one disc of an originally two-part seal survives. The outer face has the raised letters 'CAR/ SAY/ 1664' in three lines. There is a small break to one side where a strip would have projecting originally, attaching this to another disc.

An incomplete lead-alloy cloth seal of Post-Medieval date, c.AD 1500 – 1750.
The cloth seal is of the two-disc type though only one disc remains intact. The upper surface of the remaining disc is stamped on the upper surface with the number 2 and other indistinct linear markings.
The metal has a light brown/white patina and is in fair condition. The seal is 18.6mm in diameter, 2.7mm thick and weighs 2.5g.

An incomplete lead post medieval cloth seal of probable post-medieval date (c.1500-1700).
Description:
The surviving fragment consists a single disc (disc 1) of a two- or four-part cloth seal, a small part at the edge of the disc is folded over and this may be a remnant of the connecting strip (or of disc 2 in the case of a four-part seal).
The disc features a large closed letter C, inside a raised circle.
On the reverse of the disc, is another raised circle surrounding an undistinguishable design.

A Post-Medieval lead cloth bag seal fragment with barrel or tun motif, dating to c. AD 1550-1600. The seal has been rolled and somewhat flattened although the barrel/tun motif is intact. The motif is cylindrical, raised and moulded and consists of four horizontal loops to the top and three to the bottom, probably representing metal hoops and four vertical lines probably representing five wooden staves.
