Lead possible Cloth Seal, as identified by the finder. A small cast disc with stamped legend on one face: A Y / 1666 over a pair of pellets flanking a central ring and dot in relief. Suggested date: Post-Medieval, 1666.

An incomplete Post Medieval lead alloy alnage cloth seal. Only the two inner discs of the four part seal survives, the two outer discs are missing. On one face is the bust of George I with the inscription GEORGI[VS REX] around the edge. On the opposite face is a shield with three fleur de lys inside. Around the edge of the shield should be a tax rate in pence, though this has worn off. The surviving diameter is 12.9mm, the width is 15.9mm and the weight is 2.59g.
